Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Alabama

Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Alabama

There are 7 various classifications of forklifts as determined by the ITA or Industrial Truck Association. These classifications are broken down by the type of work setting; rough or smooth surfaces, indoors, outdoors and narrow aisle; by the kind of engine; whether the operator is standing or sitting down; and lastly the characteristics of the machinery, regarding the maximum grade and tire type. Some of the categories are further sub-divided by operating characteristics. Below are the following classes of lift trucks:

Class 1 Forklifts: these machinery comprise electric motor trucks that utilize either pneumatic or air filled tires or cushion tires. The Class 1 forklifts also include 4 lift codes, or subcategories that are:

Lift Code 1: Stand-up, counterbalanced rider model.
Lift Code 4: Sit down, 3-Wheel electric.
Lift Code 5: Counterbalanced rider, cushion tire sit down tires.
Lift Code 6: Includes pneumatic tire units, counterbalanced rider, and sit-down rider.

Category 2 Forklifts: Class 2 forklifts narrow aisle trucks with solid tires and electric motors.
Category 3 Forklifts: The class 3 forklift would include all hand/rider trucks electric and fuel based with solid tires.
Category 4 Forklifts: Class 4 forklifts are the Internal Combustion or IC models. These are sit down rider models with cushion tires. Usually, they are great for use on hard surfaces and indoor use.
Class 5 Forklifts: Class 5 is Internal Combustion Engine sit down rider models equipped with pneumatic tires. Typically, these models are ideal for working areas with significant inclines or on rough surfaces outdoors.
Class 6 Forklifts: The Class 6 forklifts are either IC powered or electric units. These ride-on units could tow at least 1000 lbs. This class is designed and engineered to tow cargo rather than lift it.
Category 7 Forklifts: Class 7 just included rough terrain units with pneumatic tires. The Class 7 forklifts are powered by diesel engines and are almost exclusively used outdoors.

The different classifications of lift trucks help to keep them separated and organized. Different kinds of working environments depend on various classes in order to get their work completed. Forklifts are quite specific in their lifting and loading capacities. Their various engine types and tire types are made for particular operation. To be able to select the best forklift to meet your requirements and to fulfill your tasks, do some research to determine exactly what you would need from your specific model. By talking to some trustworthy dealers and taking time to investigate your choices, you could choose the right machinery.
