Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized to transport things and materials around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.
To avoid loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Equipment should be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be stacked carefully to be able to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to be able to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be in the middle to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is truly dangerous to push the pallet in front of you since the thrust could cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
