Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major analysis of operators' working conditions. The main objective is to be able to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is really comfortable and gently rounded. This area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important information, in order to keep the operator working as efficiently as possible.
Due to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The hydraulic controls and the operators' seat are all individually adjustable that allows you to maintain an optimum working position. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 easy to operate, multi-functioned ergonomically positioned levers which are provided for gear changing, windscreen wipers, the horn and window washers.
A ventilation/heating unit guarantees a comfy cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The equipment has a robust 3-speed fan for defrosting, recirculation, cooling and heating. As an additional option, air conditioning could be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all accessible. The basic instruments that comprise: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Furthermore, gauges display values for gearbox oil pressure, engine coolant, operating time and fuel quantity.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is one of the main options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These units make it easier to supervise the machinery. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults that take place and their current values.
